Trezor® Login | Getting started — Trezor™

Trezor devices, including Trezor Model One and Model T, do not have a traditional “login” like a web account with a username and password. Instead, accessing your Trezor wallet is tied directly to the hardware device and your recovery setup. Here’s how it works:

1. Connecting Your Trezor

  • To access your funds, you connect your Trezor device to your computer or mobile device via USB (or sometimes via Bluetooth for supported devices).
  • Open Trezor Suite (desktop or web app). This acts as the interface for managing your cryptocurrencies.

2. Device Authentication

  • When you connect, Trezor will ask you to enter your PIN. This PIN is set when you first initialize your device and helps prevent unauthorized access.
  • The PIN is entered on the device itself, not on your computer, which prevents malware from capturing it.

3. Recovery Phrase (Backup)

  • If your Trezor is lost, stolen, or reset, you can regain access using your 24-word recovery seed.
  • This seed is the ultimate “key” to your wallet and must be stored safely offline. Anyone with this seed can access your funds, so never share it digitally.

4. Logging into Trezor Suite

  • You don’t create an online account. You “log in” by connecting your device, entering your PIN, and optionally unlocking any passphrase-protected accounts.
  • Once connected, you can:
    • View balances and transactions
    • Send and receive crypto
    • Manage multiple accounts
    • Customize network connections and security settings

5. Security Notes

  • Always use official Trezor Suite or verified third-party apps.
  • Never enter your recovery phrase on a computer or phone; it’s only for device recovery.
  • Enable extra security options like passphrase-protected accounts for sensitive holdings.
