Trezor® Login | Getting started — Trezor™
Trezor doesn’t use a traditional “login” like a username and password. Instead, accessing your Trezor wallet is done through the Trezor Suite application (desktop or web) and requires your hardware wallet and PIN. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to access your Trezor wallet safely:
1. Connect Your Trezor Device
- Plug your Trezor hardware wallet into your computer using a USB cable.
- Open Trezor Suite on your computer or go to the web version at suite.trezor.io.
2. Verify Device Authenticity
- Trezor Suite will automatically check if your device firmware is authentic and up to date.
- If prompted, update the firmware only through Trezor Suite to ensure safety.
3. Enter Your PIN
- Your Trezor device will display a randomized keypad.
- Enter your PIN on the device itself, not on the computer screen, to protect against keyloggers.
4. Unlock Your Wallet
- After entering the correct PIN, your wallet will unlock in Trezor Suite.
- You can now view balances, send or receive cryptocurrencies, and manage your portfolio.
5. Optional: Passphrase for Extra Security
- If you set a passphrase during setup, Trezor will prompt you to enter it.
- This acts as a “25th word” to your recovery seed and adds an extra layer of protection.
Important Notes
- Never share your PIN or recovery seed.
- Trezor does not store your private keys online, so losing your device or recovery seed means losing access to your funds.
- Always use the official Trezor Suite; avoid third-party apps that claim to offer Trezor login.
