Trezor® Login | Getting started — Trezor™
If you want to log in to Trezor, it’s important to understand that Trezor doesn’t have a traditional “login” like web accounts. Instead, access is always tied to your Trezor hardware wallet and your PIN or passphrase. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
1. Connect Your Trezor Device
- Plug your Trezor hardware wallet into your computer using the USB cable.
- Make sure you’re using the official Trezor Suite app (desktop or web) from trezor.io.
2. Open Trezor Suite
- Launch Trezor Suite.
- The app will detect your connected device and prompt you to unlock it.
3. Enter Your PIN
- On your Trezor device, you’ll see a numeric grid.
- Enter your PIN by clicking the numbers on your computer screen that correspond to the layout shown on your device.
- This prevents keyloggers on your computer from stealing your PIN.
4. Enter Optional Passphrase
- If you have set up a passphrase (an extra layer of security), you’ll be prompted to enter it now.
- This passphrase can be anything, and it essentially creates a hidden wallet that is separate from your standard Trezor wallet.
5. Access Your Wallet
- After entering your PIN and passphrase, Trezor Suite will unlock and display your wallet.
- You can now:
- Check balances and transaction history
- Send and receive crypto
- Manage multiple accounts
- Swap assets (via integrated exchanges)
Important Tips
- Never share your PIN or passphrase with anyone.
- Always use the official Trezor Suite; avoid third-party apps claiming to work with Trezor.
- If your Trezor is lost or damaged, you can recover your funds using your 12-24 word recovery seed on a new device.
